برنامه تقویم خورشیدی SunCalendar یک برنامه رایگان بوده که برای برطرف کردن نیاز کاربران به تقویم هجری خورشیدی ساخته شده که در کنار آن علاوه بر این که سعی شده انتظارات کاربر از یک تقویم دیجیتال برآورده شود در جهت افزایش اطلاعات کاربر هم با استفاده از ابزارهایی مانند کتابخانه و ویکی (نمایش اطلاعات مختصر در مورد هر رخداد) فعالیت داشته است .

این نسخه از برنامه بازنویسی شده ی نسخه ی قبلی برنامه با دات نت است . که در آن  علاوه بر این که مشکلات نسخه ی قبلی برنامه رفع شده سعی شده با استفاده از تجربیات به دست آمده از نسخه های قبلی ، برنامه انعطاف بیشتری در هر یک از قسمت ها داشته باشد . قسمتی از تغییرات به شرح زیر است :

1. قسمت پیام گذاری (ثبت پیام )

• قابلیت ثبت پیام به صورت روزانه ، هفتگی ، ماهانه ، سالانه
• امکان ثبت پیام برای همه ی سال ها ( از سال ۹۹۹ تا ۹۳۶۹ خورشیدی )
• قابلیت به تعویق انداختن پیام
• استفاده از نگه دارنده ی تاریخ (Date Picker)برای انتخاب تاریخ

1. بروز رسانی تقویم ورقی با امکان جابجایی سریع بین روز ، ماه ، سال و دهه ها
2. اضافه شدن قابلیت تطبیق تاریخ هجری قمری با تاریخ هجری خورشیدی توسط کاربر
3. نمایش پنجره ابیات و جابجایی بین مناسبت ها با استفاده از جلوه های تصویری
4. امکان اضافه کردن شهر به قسمت اوقات شرعی
5. بروز رسانی ساعت جهانی با قابلیت نمایش تاریخ شهر مورد نظر به تاریخ هجری خورشیدی
6. بهبود انتخاب کتاب و مرورگر رخداد (نمایش رخدادهای ماه انتخابی به صورت یکجا )
7. قابلیت ویرایش کتاب ها و فایل مناسبت های برنامه

تنها چند روز از رو نمایی مایکروسافت از جدید ترین نسخه از ویندوز با نام Windows 7 نگذشته که بار دیگر همه ی نگاه به سمت سوی ویندوز و نسخه ی جدید آن معطوف شد.
تا پیش از این مایکروسافت به شدت در مورد ویندوز 7 مخفی کاری می کرد. هرچند که تصاویری از برخی نرم افزارهای تغییر یافته سیستم عامل جدید منتشر شده بود. اما با نمایش دیروز مشخص شد سیستم عامل جدید جزو عمده ترین تغییرات ویندوز از زمان روی کار آمدن ویندوز 95 بوده است.
 اولین ویژگی که برای بسیاری از کاربران بسیار مهم می باشد معماری زیر بنایی ویندوز 7 می باشد که دیگر مانند ویستا مجبور به جستجو جهت درایور های مخصوص و مشکلات عدم نصب نرم افزار ها و ... وجود نخواهند داشت و به گفته مایکروسافت این مشکلات در این نسخه از ویندوز حل شده است!
